Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southeast Wyoming/Western Nebraska
National Weather Service CHEYENNE WY
135 PM MDT Thu Jun 27 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Elevated fire weather concerns are possible across portions of
southeast Wyoming on Friday. A cold front moving across the area
tomorrow will usher in drier air and strong winds. Minimum RHs
across Converse, Niobrara, Carbon, Albany, Platte, and Goshen
Counties could fall below 15 percent with wind gusts over 40 MPH
possible. Outside of these areas, scattered thunderstorms are
expected, which could contain hail and gusty, erratic winds. Higher
humidities and weaker winds are expected Saturday which should limit
fire weather concerns. Drier and windier conditions return out west
on Sunday.
