Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southeast Wyoming/Western Nebraska
National Weather Service CHEYENNE WY
206 PM MDT Mon Jun 24 2024

HEAT ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM MDT THIS EVENING

.DISCUSSION...

Elevated to near critical fire weather concerns are possible across
southeast Wyoming Tuesday afternoon. A combination of minimum RHs
below 15 percent and wind gusts around 25 MPH will lead to the
elevated concerns. Wednesday and Thursday the region will tap into
some monsoon moisture, leading to fairly widespread storm chances.
Storms that do form are expected to contain heavy, wetting rains.
Therefore, fire weather concerns will decrease for mid-week.
