...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN ITASCA...CASS AND
NORTHWESTERN CROW WING COUNTIES THROUGH 630 AM CDT...

At 556 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from near Boy River to 8 miles
north of Poplar. Movement was east at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Walker, Breezy Point, Pequot Lakes, Crosslake, Pine River, Deer
River, Emily, Fifty Lakes, Remer, Wabedo, Hackensack, Backus,
Longville, Bena, Federal Dam, Zemple, Boy River, Outing, Leech Lake,
and Lake Winnibigoshish.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 AM CDT for
north central and east central Minnesota.
