Some may produce brief heavy rainfall and ponding of water. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Thursday A Flood Watch for excessive rainfall has been issued for the area. Please visit weather.gov/dmx for more details. Showers and thunderstorms will continue across northern portions of the area on Friday. Severe weather is possible across the far north, with damaging winds, large hail, and heavy rainfall the primary risks. A flash flooding threat will increase over the area Friday evening into Saturday morning. Additional storm chances return by the middle of next week. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotters may be needed at times Friday and Friday night into Saturday. Brief heavy downpours will be possible. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Thursday Showers and thunderstorms will continue across northern portions of the area on Friday; possibly drifting into portions of central Iowa. Severe weather is possible with a few storms. Damaging winds and locally heavy rainfall the primary risks. Additional chances for storms exist on Saturday with strong to severe storms possible.
