Today:

Showers and storms continue over portions of the central and
southern Iowa as we move into the early morning hours. This activity
was producing light to moderate rainfall on top of what previously
fell Saturday into Saturday evening, including some heavier rainfall
totals of 2 inches or more for some near the southern state line.

Rainfall chances continue through the day, mainly over the southern
half of the state with the highest chances near the Missouri border.
North winds behind a passing cold front along with cloud cover will
keep temperatures much cooler today compared to the previous week.
Highs will only be in the low to mid 60s.

Tonight and Beyond:

Some light shower activity may linger over portions of southern into
eastern Iowa on Monday. Otherwise, much of the week ahead will
feature dry conditions with temperatures more or less near average
for this time of year. Highs gradually warm back into the 70s and
overnight lows in the 40s and 50s.
