.SYNOPSIS FOR NORTHERN CALIFORNIA WATERS...Northerly winds will
continue to strengthen today across the outer waters and downwind
of Cape Mendocino, with the strongest gusts likely forming this
afternoon. Locally gale force gusts is expected to continue
downwind of Cape Mendocino until tomorrow midday. In the northern
waters, winds will begin to ease slightly over the weekend as a
weak cold front moves through the area. Winds in the southern
waters are forecast to remain elevated strong. Widespread near-gale
force winds and very steep, hazardous seas are forecast for
early- mid next week.
