.DISCUSSION...

Somewhat elevated fire weather concerns continue today, and
through midweek, as the region remains under a warm and dry
weather pattern, with slightly breezy afternoons. Despite
very low afternoon relative humidity in the single-digits, wind
speeds, although marginally breezy at times, will remain well
below critical limits. Wednesday begins a transition to a more
moist environment as gulf moisture moves in from the east. The
return of shower and storm chances begins over areas east of
the Rio Grande Wednesday, and spreads to all areas by Thursday.
