Potential Tropical Cyclone One located in the Gulf of Mexico brings tropical moisture to the area today with moderate to heavy rainfall expected. Average amounts range from 1 to 4 inches with locally higher totals possible which may cause isolated flooding. Although drought conditions in area streams could help minimize flooding impacts, some locations are expected to experience dangerous run- off conditions with rapid rises in streams and creeks possible, especially in the southern portion of the area. A Flood Watch is in effect for the southern portions of the area today and tonight. A brief isolated tornado may be possible through tonight across the coastal plains. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday. A Flood Watch continues through Thursday for the southern portions of the area where continued tropical moisture may bring moderate to heavy rainfall which could cause isolated flooding. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
