...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of Floyd, western Polk
and western Bartow Counties through 1130 AM EDT...

At 1038 AM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was near Cedartown, moving
northeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Winds 40 to 50 mph, pea sized hail and heavy rain.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect minor damage to tree limbs and blowing around of
         light, unsecured objects. Heavy rain may cause temporary
         street flooding especially in poor drainage areas.

Locations impacted include...
Rome, Cedartown, Euharlee, Aragon, Cave Spring, Kingston,
Taylorsville, Shannon, Fish Creek, Pinson, Etna, Lindale, Armuchee,
and Seney.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

People outdoors should seek shelter immediately. Motorists should
slow down and be prepared for possible loss of control due to
hydroplaning.
