...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Minnesota...

  West Fork Des Moines River at Jackson affecting Jackson County.

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Minnesota...

  West Fork Des Moines River near Windom affecting Cottonwood and
  Jackson Counties.

  West Fork Des Moines River near Avoca affecting Cottonwood and
  Murray Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

The next statement will be issued by Saturday morning.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT UNTIL FURTHER
NOTICE...

* WHAT...Major flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...West Fork Des Moines River at Jackson.

* WHEN...From late tonight until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 15.0 feet, The low portions of River St begin to
  flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:30 PM CDT Friday the stage was 11.3 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    late tonight, and continue rising to a crest of 14.7 feet by
    early Thursday afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 12.0 feet.

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
  forecast. This approaches the flood of record.

* WHERE...West Fork Des Moines River near Windom.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 24.0 feet, Water reaches the bottom beams of the
  bridge on Country Club Dr.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:15 PM CDT Friday the stage was 22.8 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 9:15 PM CDT Friday was 22.8 feet.
  - Forecast...The river will rise to 23.2 feet early Sunday
    morning. It will then fall slightly early Monday morning. It
    will then rise to 24.0 feet by Wednesday evening. It will
    then gradually fall again, but remain above flood stage.
  - Flood stage is 19.0 feet.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 1429.0 feet, The bridge at the gage location on
  County Rd 6 is overtopped and the lowest portions of 290th Ave and
  also 61st St begin to flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:30 PM CDT Friday the stage was 1427.7 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 9:30 PM CDT Friday was 1427.7 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 1428.7
    feet by early Sunday morning.
  - Flood stage is 1425.0 feet.
