  Vermillion River near Vermillion affecting Clay County.

  Vermillion River near Wakonda affecting Clay County.

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in South
Dakota...

  James River near Scotland affecting Yankton, Hutchinson and Bon
  Homme Counties.

  Vermillion River near Davis affecting Lincoln and Turner Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

* IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, Minor flooding of low lying areas begins
  in non-leveed areas and some agricultural land will flood if the
  levees fail.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 7:00 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 11.7 feet, although
    this reading is impacted by water bypassing the gauge through
    a nearby secondary channel.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to remain above flood stage
    Sunday and then fall below flood stage Monday morning.
  - Flood stage is 14.0 feet.

* IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Approximately 22850 acres of farmland are
  flooded between Mitchell and Yankton. The lowest portions of SW
  Jim River Rd between Maxwell rd and Hwy 18 begin to flood and
  water approaches 431st Ave.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 7:30 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 16.4 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 7:30 PM CDT Saturday was 16.7 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    late Thursday morning and continue falling to 11.3 feet
