068 FXUS65 KGGW 221123 AFDGGW Area Forecast Discussion National Weather Service Glasgow MT 523 AM MDT Sat Jun 22 2024 .DISCUSSION... KEY MESSAGES: - Patchy fog this morning. - Warmer and drier weather expected over the weekend. WEATHER PATTERN OVERVIEW: An active jet/zonal flow will remain across the northern States/Canadian border region for the next week. Slight ridging over the weekend will favor seasonably warm and drier conditions. Another shortwave lifts across the region on Sunday with the potential for showers and thunderstorms for Sunday afternoon and evening. Ridge then rebounds through midweek as a trof digs along the west coast. As southwest flow into Montana develops, showers and thunderstorms will return for the end of the week. FORECAST CONFIDENCE and DEVIATIONS: Confidence is medium to high for the general conditions remaining slightly warmer and drier than normal through much of next week. && .AVIATION... VFR.
