Weather Summary for Portions of the Central Plains
National Weather Service Hastings NE
718 PM CDT Thu Jun 27 2024

Focusing on these next couple of days...the bottom line is that once
we get past any storm chances Friday night...Saturday is looking
like a very pleasant day by late-June standards. Starting with
Fridays weather...although some spotty showers and/or weak
thunderstorms cannot be totally ruled out especially in the
morning...the vast majority of our area should have a dry...but
seasonably-warm and humid daytime with high temperatures into the
mid 80s to lower 90s. Then...anytime after roughly 6 PM and lasting
well past sunset...chances for isolated to scattered thunderstorms
will enter the picture...a few of which could be severe. Turning to
Saturday...get ready for a more comfortable feel to the air. While
it will be slightly cooler than Friday for sure...with highs mainly
between the upper 70s north and upper 80s south in our Kansas
counties...the most noticeable difference will be lower humidity
levels...as north-northeast breezes of 10 to 20 MPH usher in drier
air. At least for now...Saturday daytime and evening also look
pretty much guaranteed dry...making it a wonderful weather situation
for outdoor activities.
