...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN PHELPS...
NORTHEASTERN GOSPER...WESTERN BUFFALO AND DAWSON COUNTIES THROUGH 745
PM CDT...

At 718 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Eddyville to 6 miles north of Lexington to
near Johnson Lake. Movement was southeast at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Lexington, Cozad, Elm Creek, Overton, Odessa, Amherst, Sumner,
Riverdale, Miller, Eddyville, and Johnson Lake.

This includes Interstate 80 between mile markers 221 and 265.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until midnight CDT for
south central Nebraska.
