Showers and thunderstorms will be focused mainly over the terrain north of I-70 this afternoon, with the main threats being gusty winds and lightning. Showers will taper off after sunset. Temperatures remain above normal, but will run a few degrees cooler than yesterday. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday. Increasing moisture will bring more widespread activity for Sunday and Monday, along with temperatures cooling to near normal values. Gusty winds and lightning remain the main threats, although a brief heavy downpour will be possible across northern portions of the area. High pressure reasserts itself from Tuesday onward, bringing a return to hot and dry conditions. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation is not expected at this time. $$
