...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTH CENTRAL SAN MIGUEL AND
SOUTH CENTRAL MONTROSE COUNTIES THROUGH 1245 PM MDT...

At 1218 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8
miles south of Norwood, or 40 miles southwest of Montrose, moving
northwest at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Naturita, Norwood, Redvale, and Vancorum.

This includes the following highways...
 Colorado 90 between mile markers 30 and 33.
 Colorado 141 between mile markers 45 and 62.
 Colorado 145 between mile markers 96 and 116.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
