...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN ARCHULETA...SOUTH
CENTRAL HINSDALE AND NORTHEASTERN LA PLATA COUNTIES THROUGH 715 PM
MDT...

At 643 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Bayfield, or 17 miles east of Durango, moving northeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 to 55 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Bayfield and Vallecito.

This includes U.S. Highway 160 in Colorado between mile markers 102
and 114.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
