...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT CENTRAL ARCHULETA COUNTY THROUGH
745 PM MDT...

At 718 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Pagosa Springs, or 17 miles north of Dulce, moving northeast at 15
mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Pagosa Springs, Chimney Rock, and Lonetree.

This includes the following highways...
 U.S. Highway 84 in Colorado between mile markers 21 and 27.
 U.S. Highway 160 in Colorado between mile markers 133 and 149.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
