...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT WESTERN MOFFAT...NORTHWESTERN
RIO BLANCO...NORTHEASTERN UINTAH AND EASTERN DAGGETT COUNTIES THROUGH
500 PM MDT...

At 436 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 10
miles north of Dinosaur, or 30 miles east of Vernal, moving east at
35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Dinosaur, Hiawatha, Blue Mountain, Greystone, and Artesia.

This includes the following highways...
 U.S. Highway 40 in Colorado between mile markers 1 and 17.
 U.S. Highway 40 in Utah between mile markers 156 and 174.
 U.S. Highway 191 in Utah between mile markers 376 and 384.
 Colorado 64 between mile markers 1 and 17.
 Colorado 318 between mile markers 1 and 29.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 700 PM MDT for
northwestern Colorado...and northeastern Utah.
