...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN SAN JUAN COUNTY
THROUGH 445 PM MDT...

At 408 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Bluff, or 22 miles east of Mexican Hat, moving northeast at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Tselakai Dezza, White Mesa, Bluff, and Montezuma Creek.

This includes the following highways...
 U.S. Highway 191 in Utah between mile markers 15 and 20, and between
mile markers 22 and 40.
 Utah 162 between mile markers 0 and 14.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 700 PM MDT for
southeastern Utah.
