Regional Weather Summary for the High Plains

Over the past 24 hours, the Tri State region has seen daytime
highs mainly range in the lower to mid 90s. Lows during this time
ranged in the 60s. Some thunderstorms did impact portions of the
area yesterday evening. Wind gusts in the 50s did occur along
with some accumulating rainfall. The wind did produce blowing
dust in spots.

OUTLOOK... for this weekend on through next week, the main focus
will be on hot daytime high temperatures in the 90s, with a few
days in the 100s expected. Monday and Tuesday afternoons could
see heat indices coming close to the 100 to 105 mark, mainly east
of Highway 25. There will be some mainly late afternoon and
evening chances for showers and storms from Sunday onward.
