...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN THOMAS...EASTERN
LOGAN...SOUTHERN SHERIDAN AND GOVE COUNTIES THROUGH 900 PM CDT...

At 825 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Oakley to 12 miles west of Gove to 10
miles northwest of Healy. Movement was east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Strong thunderstorms will be near...
  Grinnell around 835 PM CDT.
  Gove around 840 PM CDT.

Other locations in the path of these storms include Grainfield.

This includes Interstate 70 in Kansas between mile markers 68 and
112.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 200 AM CDT for
northwestern and west central Kansas.
