Widespread rain and a few thunderstorms moved across the forecast
area this morning. The rain was heavy at times, especially from
central to east central Wisconsin. Rainfall totals through this
morning were in the 1 to 3 inch range in many areas, with locally
higher amounts around 4 inches in east central Wisconsin. Some
minor flooding has been reported in parts of central and east
central Wisconsin.

The initial round of showers and storms will shift east by early
afternoon, but additional storms should develop near a warm front
later this afternoon. Storms may become strong to severe during
the late afternoon and evening, mainly south of highway 29. The
main threats with the stronger storms will be damaging winds,
torrential rainfall and flooding, and possibly an isolated tornado
or two.
