At 607 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 11 miles northwest of Shelby to 8 miles
southeast of Lincolnton. Movement was northeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.
