...PATCHY DENSE FOG THIS MORNING...

Patchy dense fog, reducing visibility to 1/4 mile or less, is
expected across the mountain valleys and portions of the North
Carolina foothills this morning. Motorists traveling along I-40
between the Tennessee border and Hickory, along I-26 through
western North Carolina, as well as other roads and highways
across the region, should be prepared for sudden deterioration in
visibility. Slow down, use low beam headlights, and allow for
extra distance between yourself and other vehicles if dense fog
is encountered. The fog should lift by 1000 AM.
