915 FLUS43 KICT 292146 HWOICT Hazardous Weather Outlook National Weather Service Wichita KS 446 PM CDT Sat Jun 29 2024 KSZ032-033-047>053-067>072-082-083-091>096-098>100-302200- Russell-Lincoln-Barton-Ellsworth-Saline-Rice-McPherson-Marion-Chase- Reno-Harvey-Butler-Greenwood-Woodson-Allen-Kingman-Sedgwick-Harper- Sumner-Cowley-Elk-Wilson-Neosho-Chautauqua-Montgomery-Labette- 446 PM CDT Sat Jun 29 2024 This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of Central Kansas, South Central Kansas and Southeast Kansas. .DAY ONE...Tonight Triple digit heat indices will continue over far southern and southeast Kansas through 7 or 8 PM. Isolated to widely scattered thunderstorms are possible over far southern and southeast Kansas late this afternoon and evening. Isolated large hail and damaging downburst winds are the main threats, along with intense rainfall rates. Additionally, an isolated brief tornado or two is possible as well. Additional showers and storms are expected later tonight, mainly along and west of the Flint Hills. Locally heavy rainfall and nickel sized hail are possible. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday Areas of showers and thunderstorms will remain possible Sunday morning. Hot and at times humid conditions return for Monday and Tuesday, with afternoon through early evening heat indices exceeding 105 degrees. Periodic thunderstorm chances return Sunday night into early Monday, and again late Tuesday through late next week. A handful of strong to severe storms are possible throughout this time period, along with areas of heavy rainfall. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
