369 NOUS41 KILN 201734 PNSILN OHZ056-210545- Public Information Statement National Weather Service Wilmington OH 134 PM EDT Fri Sep 20 2024 ...HIGH WATER RIVER FORECAST SERVICE TO BEGIN ON OCTOBER 16, 2023 FOR THE SOUTH FORK OF THE LICKING RIVER NEAR HEBRON, OH... In coordination with Licking County Emergency Management Agency and Licking County Officials, the National Weather Service will begin high water forecasts for the U.S. Geological Survey river gauge along the South Fork of the Licking River near Hebron, OH. Critical flood category levels were determined based on past impacts and crest history, along with a survey of the affected areas and coordination with emergency officials and a Flood Inundation Map produced by the U.S. Geological survey. The flood categories for this river gauge and forecast point Near Hebron, on the border of Robertson and Bracken counties, will be as follows: Action Stage: 9 feet - forecasts will be issued for expected river stages at/above this level. Minor Flood Stage: 11 feet Moderate Flood Stage: 12 feet Major Flood Stage: 14 feet These flood stages and forecast and warning services have been coordinated with Emergency Management officials in Licking County.
