A few late afternoon and evening thunderstorms are possible (20 percent chance), however widespread showers and thunderstorms will overspread the area tonight. Severe weather is not expected. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday. There will be periods of showers and thunderstorms Sunday through Tuesday. A few late afternoon and early evening thunderstorms are possible (20 percent chance) for most of the area, but scattered storms look to affect the I-57 corridor south of Mattoon through early evening (50 percent chance). More storms are expected to overspread the area tonight (40-80 percent chance). Severe weather is not expected, but a few strong storms with gusty winds and small hail, as well as locally heavy rain, are possible. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday. There will be periods of showers and thunderstorms Sunday through Tuesday. Organized severe weather is not expected, but locally heavy rain is possible.
