At 514 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near West Green to near Stephen Foster State Park. Movement was east at 20 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 to 50 mph, half inch hail, and minor flooding due to heavy rainfall. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Minor flooding due to heavy rainfall is possible. Locations impacted include... Waycross, Jesup, Baxley, Hazlehurst, Alma, Blackshear, Nahunta, Patterson, Graham, and Surrency. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to localized flooding.
