...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN POWELL...
NORTHWESTERN OWSLEY...ESTILL...CENTRAL JACKSON AND WESTERN LEE
COUNTIES THROUGH 600 PM EDT...

At 528 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Rice Station to Station Camp to Macedonia to
Hurley. Movement was east at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Irvine, McKee, Ravenna, Kimbrell, Rice Station, Kings Station,
Pinnacle, Shop Branch, Mummie, Privett, Bradshaw, Earnestville,
Calloway Crossing, Wiseman Crossing Station, Winston, Wisemantown,
Vaughns Mill, Hardwick, Brazil, and Weedon.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM EDT for
southeastern and east central Kentucky.
