...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN ESTILL...
NORTHWESTERN JACKSON AND NORTHEASTERN ROCKCASTLE COUNTIES THROUGH 515
PM EDT...

At 444 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Rockford, or 11 miles south of Richmond, moving east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Boone, Morrill, Rice Station, Kings Station, Kerby Knob, Blackburn,
Clover Bottom, Climax, Jinks, Winston, Disputanta, Brazil, Shirley,
Sandgap, Witt, Blanton Flats, Snider, Conway, Foxtown, and Hisel.

THIS INCLUDES Interstate 75 in east central Kentucky between mile
markers 67 and 72.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for
south central, southeastern and east central Kentucky.
