Through 100 am, scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms will continue to move northwest at 20 to 25 knots across the Straits of Florida, Hawk Channel, parts of the Keys island chain, Florida Bay, and the nearshore and offshore Gulf waters. Mariners may encounter wind gusts around 30 knots, reduced visibilities in heavy downpours, and a few lightning strikes. On land, some spots in the Lower and Upper Keys will see up to a quarter inch of rainfall and wind gusts up to 30 mph as the showers and storms move through. $$ Jacobson
