Through 600 pm, a broken band of showers, with an embedded
thunderstorm or two, will track westward at 20 to 25 knots, and
stretch from the gulf waters adjacent to Rebecca Shoal, to the
distant Florida Straits off of the Middle Keys. The stronger activity
will produce wind gusts near 30 knots, blinding downpours, and a
rare lightning strike.
