.NOW...
Through 600 PM, there will be two different regimes across the
coastal waters of the Florida Keys. Across the distant Straits near
the Cay Sal Bank, isolated thunderstorms will meander to the
northwest to northeast at 10 knots or less. South of the Tortugas, an
arcing cluster of thunderstorms will move swiftly to the northwest
at 20 knots. The strongest storms, especially those in the Straits
south of the Tortugas, will be capable of blinding downpours,
localized wind gusts near 30 knots, and occasional lightning strikes.
