.NOW...
Through 700 pm, a band of showers and embedded strong thunderstorms
continues to move mainly east between 10 to 15 knots across the
offshore Gulf waters, western Hawk Channel west of the Marquesas
Keys, the western Straits of Florida, and the western
Bayside/Gulfside waters. Mariners encountering this activity can
expect reduced visibility to less than 1 mile, especially inside
thunderstorm activity, wind gusts to near or in excess of 30 knots,
and occasional cloud to ground lightning strikes. The stronger
activity will be handled with Special Marine Warnings. Additionally,
a few light to moderate showers have developed across the eastern
portions of the Keys including the Middle and Upper Keys and adjacent
coastal waters.
