Through 1000 pm, isolated showers and thunderstorms continue to
slowly move to the south and southwest at less than 5 knots across
the far Upper Keys, mainly northeast of Tavernier, Florida Bay, Hawk
Channel and the Straits of Florida off the Upper Keys. The stronger
activity will produce frequent lightning strikes, wind gusts of near
30 knots, and blinding downpours. On land, portions of the Upper
Keys, mainly northeast of Tavernier may receive an additional quarter
to half inch of rainfall with locally in excess of a half inch.
