Through 930 pm, a fast moving line of showers will track northwestward at 25 to 30 knots through the distant Florida Straits off of the Dry Tortugas. The stronger activity will produce wind gusts near 30 knots, blinding downpours, and potentially a few lightning strikes. Elsewhere, a few other weaker broken lines of showers will be found on the Florida Straits and Hawk Channel, mostly adjacent to the Middle and Upper Keys. a number of lines of showers will track west to northwestward at 20 to 30 0No significant precipitation impacts are detected across the Florida Keys and adjacent coastal waters at this time. The next Short Term Forecast will be issued when Florida Keys National Weather Service forecasters determine one is needed. $$
