Through 5 pm, scattered showers with embedded thunderstorms will
move east at 5 to 10 knots through the Straits of Florida near the
Tortugas Ecological Reserve South, near the 409 Humps, and in the
Hawk Channel near Carysfort Reef Light. This activity is capable of
frequent lightning strikes, wind gusts of near 25 knots, and blinding
downpours.
