Through 1030 am, light to moderate showers with isolated embedded thunderstorms across the Florida Keys coastal waters will move northwest to north at 10 to 15 knots. The strongest storms are in the Straits of Florida extending from just north of Wood`s Wall Crack east to Elbow Cay. Mariners can expect moderate to heavy downpours reducing visibilities below 2 miles, wind gusts nearing 30 knots, and occasional lightning strikes within the stronger storms. Otherwise, light to moderate showers will move across the island chain, but rainfall accumulation will remain minimal. $$ NB
