Through 1100 pm, scattered showers will track west northwestward at 20 to 25 mph, across the Middle and Upper Keys and surrounding near through offshore waters. The stronger activity will produce wind gusts near 35 mph, and reduced visibility in heavy rain. Some this activity will drive across mainly the Upper Keys, into the adjacent bay and gulf side waters. Any island location from Long Key through Key Largo may be affected by these passing showers, and receive an additional one quarter to one half of an inch of rain. Elsewhere scattered showers, and possibly a brief thunderstorm, will be found mostly on the remainder of the Florida Straits. $$
