Currently there are widely scattered showers, mainly confined to
north central/central portions of northern Nebraska. This showery
activity should continue until around sunrise before diminishing.
Little qpf is expected.

The focus then turns to temperatures for today and tomorrow. Kept
temperatures on trend to inherited forecast for today,with the
cooler airmass behind the front that is pushing through this
morning. As for Wednesday, confidence continues to increase in
warmer temperatures, thus trended the forecast to warmer met
guidance as high pressure builds in from the west. Pushed western
portions of the CWA into the mid 80s.

As the upper level high continues to build and move east
into the High Plains, temperatures will remain on warm through
the week. Thursday will be the warmest of the week with the
potential for a few areas to hit 90 degrees or above. There will
also be some elevated fire concerns on Thursday with the
unseasonably warm temperatures and gusty southerly winds
sustained at near 15 to 20 mph with gust around 25 mph. The main
concern will be across fire weather zones 204 where min RH
values will range from 18 to 25 percent. Pattern will favor a
drier forecast with no rain chances expected through the weekend
into early next week.

VFR conditions are expected to prevail the next 24 hours across
western and north central Nebraska. At the KLBF terminal, high
clouds will persist until 15Z, with SKC to FEW250 after 17Z.
Northwest winds will increase to near 34011G16KT by 16Z until
00Z/25th. Light and variable winds this evening and overnight.
