It was a generally quiet night across western and north central
Nebraska. Low temperatures ranged from 53 degrees at Valentine to
64 degrees at Ogallala.

Rain showers and general thunderstorms will continue to percolate
through the afternoon and early evening. The threat for severe
weather increases later this evening across much of the area with
the potential for damaging winds, large hail, and locally heavy
rainfall. Timing for severe weather is 7 PM to Midnight CT / 6 to
11 PM MT. Outside of this, temperatures will peak this afternoon
in the low 80s.
