MCPHERSON...WESTERN CUSTER...SOUTHWESTERN BLAINE AND THOMAS COUNTIES
THROUGH 130 AM CDT/1230 AM MDT/...

At 1243 AM CDT/1143 PM MDT/, Doppler radar was tracking strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from 19 miles southwest of
Merritt Reservoir to near Mullen to 17 miles north of Sarben.
Movement was east at 50 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Ogallala, Mullen, Stapleton, Thedford, Arthur, Tryon, Sutherland,
Hershey, Paxton, Brule, Halsey, Seneca, Gandy, Brownlee, Swan Lake,
Merritt Reservoir, Kingsley Dam, Valentine National Wildlife Refuge,
Ringgold, and Elsmere.

This includes the following highways...
 Highway 20 between mile markers 209 and 223.
 Highway 2 between mile markers 150 and 227.
 Highway 61 between mile markers 86 and 142.
 Highway 92 between mile markers 127 and 246.
 Highway 97 between mile markers 1 and 119.
 Interstate 80 in Nebraska between mile markers 121 and 135.
 Highway 83 between mile markers 87 and 202.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
office in North Platte.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 600 AM CDT/500 AM
MDT/ for southwestern, north central and west central Nebraska.
