At 1243 AM CDT/1143 PM MDT/, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 19 miles southwest of Merritt Reservoir to near Mullen to 17 miles north of Sarben. Movement was east at 50 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Ogallala, Mullen, Stapleton, Thedford, Arthur, Tryon, Sutherland, Hershey, Paxton, Brule, Halsey, Seneca, Gandy, Brownlee, Swan Lake, Merritt Reservoir, Kingsley Dam, Valentine National Wildlife Refuge, Ringgold, and Elsmere.
