...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 815 PM CDT
FOR NORTHERN CHERRY COUNTY...
At 800 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 6 miles south of
Eli, or 29 miles southeast of Martin, moving southeast at 40 mph.
THIS IS A DESTRUCTIVE STORM FOR AREAS NEAR AND SOUTH OF CODY.
HAZARD...Baseball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Public report.
IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be severely injured.
Expect shattered windows, extensive damage to roofs,
siding, and vehicles.
Locations impacted include...
Cody, Merriman, Kilgore, Nenzel, Medicine Lake, Merritt Reservoir,
Eli, Steer Creek Campground, Schoolhouse Lake, Cody Lake, Anderson
Bridge State Wildlife Management Area, Highway 61 Crossing The
Niobrara River, and Indian Hill.
This includes the following highways...
Highway 20 between mile markers 132 and 177.
Highway 61 between mile markers 216 and 231.
Highway 97 between mile markers 116 and 129.
