...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT EAST CENTRAL TYLER...WEST
CENTRAL NEWTON AND EAST CENTRAL JASPER COUNTIES THROUGH 400 PM CDT...

At 327 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Spurger, or 7 miles northeast of Fred, moving northeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to vegetation and outdoor
         objects is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Jasper, Spurger, Magnolia Springs, Mt. Union, and Roganville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 600 PM CDT for
southeastern Texas.
