.SYNOPSIS...Quiet and dry weather will round out the weekend and
begin the next work week in the Silver State. Ridging and
ultimately a large high pressure dome build over the west coast
and will be the focal point of a warmer, drier weather pattern for
the next week. Afternoon high temperatures Sunday and Monday will
warm a degree or two each day into the upper 70s. Under starry
skies overnight lows will dip down into the upper 30s and lower
40s through Tuesday morning.

&&

.SHORT TERM...Atmospheric ridging on upper level model charts is
building into the SW CONUS from the west Sunday morning. Northerly
flow across the area will continue through Monday afternoon in the
eastern flank of a large dome of high pressure strengthening over
the Pacific Ocean. The HPC will move onshore Monday afternoon and
evening over the Pacific NW and turn flow aloft more easterly for
the region by Tuesday morning. Increasing heights under the ridge
will top out at around 588 in the center of the high by 12z
Tuesday on the 500-mb map will help to slowly increase
temperatures a couple of degrees every afternoon from the upper
70s Sunday into the 80s by mid week. The atmospheric setup is not
conducive to any moisture availability and no shower or convective
activity is anticipated in the area through Tuesday morning.

.LONG TERM...Tuesday through next Saturday. All models are
depicting an upper ridge over the western United States with a
center of circulation in east-central Nevada. A weak trough will
be off the southwest coast of California. Through the mid portions
of next week, the ridge will be over the west. This will keep
northern and central Nevada with mainly dry and quiet weather.
High temperatures each afternoon will be in the 70s on Tuesday,
warming into the 70s and 80s by Wednesday and lasting through the
week. Overnight lows will cool into the 40s for the most part.
Winds will pick up each afternoon with gusts in the 20s mph range
with the strongest gusts on Wednesday.

&&

.AVIATION...VFR conditions continue at all TAF sites through the
next 24 hour period with light winds expected.

&&

.FIRE WEATHER...Under high pressure well into next week
thunderstorm activity for all zones is not anticipated.
Temperatures will gradually warm a degree or two each afternoon
from the upper 70s on Sunday into the mid to upper 80s by mid
week. Warm and dry conditions will help to drop afternoon relative
humidity values below 15% though lack of appreciable sustained
winds or wind gusts will keep elevated fire weather concerns to a
minimum through mid week.
