Thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and evening across portions of the far southern Texas Panhandle, South Plains and northern Rolling Plains. A few storms may become strong to severe with the main threats being damaging winds gusts up to 60 mph and localized flooding due to heavy rainfall. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday. Low thunderstorm chances remain in the forecast for Wednesday across portions of the Caprock and Rolling Plains. Locally strong wind gusts in excess of 50 mph and brief, heavy rainfall will be possible. Additional storm chances are forecast to return across the Caprock and Rolling Plains from late Friday into Saturday. Beyond Saturday, the probability for hazardous weather is low. $$
