The warmer and drier trend will continue into today. The good
thing; we will still have enough moisture around to keep
temperatures below normal one more day. Upper ridging continues to
retrograde west across the region and strong subsidence will keep
any chance for rain in the Davis Mountains if we even see that.
Not much changes Sunday other than highs climbing closer to the
century mark.

Ridging remains in full control into much of next week although
there could be some opportunities for a little rain. Before we see
that, temperatures will be climbing with it becoming more likely
we will add to our 100 degree days. Increasing heights and an
intense mid level thermal ridge over the area will lead to what
looks like a long stretch of above normal temperatures. While
isolated storms are possible nearly any afternoon in the higher
terrain, a weak front could bring a chance for storms further east
midweek. Rain chances dwindle and shift back to the mountains
late in the week.
