454 FNUS54 KMAF 121957 FWFMAF Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX 257 PM CDT Wed Jun 12 2024 .DISCUSSION... Limited fire weather concerns in the coming week as 20ft winds remain light through the period, and humidity only falls to critical levels in the afternoons across the far west. Dry and warm conditions will prevail, but isolated storm chances off the Davis Mountains each afternoon may bring a dry lightning threat. Still, any fires that start won`t be accompanied by strong winds or extremely low humidity, and overnight recoveries will be good to very good. && For point-specific forecasts please see the Point Fire Weather Matrix product issued by the Midland/Odessa National Weather Service Office.
