The National Weather Service in Miami has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Northern Biscayne Bay...
  Coastal waters from Wilton Manors to Miami Beach FL out to 30 NM
  excluding the territorial waters of Bahamas...

* Until 930 PM EDT.

* At 822 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing
  waterspouts were located along a line extending from 12 nm east of
  Lauderdale-By-The-Sea to 7 nm east of Port Everglades to Fort
  Lauderdale, moving south east at 15 to 20 knots.

  HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts 34 knots or greater, and small
           hail.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
           hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly
           higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

* Locations impacted include...
  Sunny Isles, Port Everglades, Hallandale, Fort Lauderdale, Golden
  Beach, Lauderdale-By-The-Sea, and Hollywood.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.

Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily
overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Seek safe harbor
immediately.

Frequent lightning is occurring with these storms. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.

Report severe weather to the Coast Guard or the National Weather
